– javasolja az Olaf Scholz vezette új német kormány, amely így szeretné csökkenteni a vétózás lehetőségét. Az EU tagállamainak hadseregei között pedig szorosabb együttműködést szeretnének látni, amit Washington is támogat.
Az új német kormány arra is javaslatot tesz Brüsszelben, hogy Magyarország és Lengyelország csak akkor kapjon pénzt a helyreállítási alapból, ha betartják a jogállamisági normákat.
“Sürgetjük az Európai Bizottságot, hogy az eddiginél határozottabban és határidőhöz kötve alkalmazza azokat a meglevő eszközöket, amelyekkel be lehet tartatni a jogállami normákat”
– írja a német koalíciós nyilatkozat.
Németországnak “különleges felelőssége van Európa szolgálatában” – hangsúlyozza az új német kormány, amely több ponton is szakít a Merkel-korszak kompromisszumkereső hagyományaival.
